The competition between heroes is not as tough as that of the heroines. The reason is that the heroes have their own markets and have their individual fan bases.

However the heroines do not enjoy the same and have to compete against each other to be on top. Some of the heroines from south are setting their steps in north as well like Asin, Shriya and others.

While Nayanthara has been ruling the market for a while now, she is getting some stiff competition from younger brigade. Heroines like Anushka and Tamannah are making their mark and are the rising stars in the circuit. As long as the competition is healthy it is good for the industry.
